Where do We Get All These Hot Tubs From?

Most of the tubs we sell come straight from the factory as our clients order them.  Nothing unusual about these tubs except their lower price tag.

But we try to keep our eyes open for what we call “opportunity tubs” such as cancelled orders, factory mix-ups, repossessions, freight damage, shell imperfections, returned spas, and that sort of thing. 

We also like to buy up the factory overstock tubs and discontinued models whenever possible.  Because of this, sometimes we can sell brand new hot tubs to the general public for wholesale prices!

What about our second-hand hot tubs?

When I was first starting out, I had to hunt down each hot tub by replying to classified ads.  But I soon discovered that I wasn't the only one doing it, and it seemed like all the good deals were being snatched up immediately by aggressive buyers who planned on "flipping" them.

I was sometimes able to buy two or three fixer-uppers in a month, but the moving headaches and repair costs really added up.  No matter how hard I tried, it was becoming apparent that it just wasn't worth my time and energy.  I almost gave up.

But as my contacts grew and reputation improved, I started getting more and more leads from real estate agents, home renovators, pool and spa repairmen, deck builders, landscapers, crane operators and hot tub dealers. We eventually came to be known as the "go to" guys for quickly unloading a used hot tub, slowly freeing us from the need to use the classifieds.

Now we are getting calls from all over the province, and we have the luxury of being able to select only the ones that we can sell with pride and confidence.  Most of the hot tubs we acquire come from nice homes in high-end neighborhoods and have been well cared for.
